Families to Friends Reunion, 25th Anniversary Celebration Event

Cost: $25 for adults. Children 17 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult.
Accomodation: International Hotel Suites is offering a $25 per night deal on October 2 for all Families to Friends Reunion guests (see booking instructions below). Camping sites are also available close to Symons Valley Ranch.
ENTERTAINMENT:
Jake Mathews - Country singer/songwriter who's self-titled debut CD garnered six nationally charted hits.
Gil Grand - country singer with three albums and toured with big names such as The Dixie Chicks.
Jason Greeley - placing in the top 4 on Canadian Idol led him to a successful music career.
Pear - They have opened for Alan Jackson and Tim McGraw. "This Ain't a Love Song" is a fan favourite.
This special event is for everyone. From all the families that stayed at Ronald McDonald House® Southern Alberta to all our supporters who made this home away from home possible over the past twenty-five years. This special event is to bring those special families and the families of our supporters together and celebrate both the impact and accomplishments of the the House for the past twenty-five years. We invite the entire family to be part of this momentous anniversary year.
Whether it's the engaging games, entertainment, musical guests, sing-a-long acoustic songs or an exciting country dance - our family dinner and dance will have it all. Our Families to Friends Reunion will be at Symons Valley Ranch, the very essence of Southern Alberta's western flare and hospitality. Our guests will enjoy the afternoon outside under tents with face painting, interactive games, and roaming entertainers. As evening draws near, the families will go inside the western-inspired hall and be delighted by an old style Guitar Pull, while enjoying a delectable old-fashioned dinner. A Guitar Pull is a historical getting together of musicians, where they took turns sharing a guitar, supporting each other by playing their songs for their peers and sharing their stories behind them. A coming together of musical friends to create a whole - just as our families and supporters will come together as the one big family of Ronald McDonald House® Southern Alberta. Our version of the Guitar Pull will include musicians and great song and story interaction in a casual setting. And, of course, after dinner we'll be putting on our cowboy boots, for a foot stompin' country dance!
Like all good comings together, we will weave our common thread throughout the event with information about the House; stories from families, volunteers, and donors about what the House has meant to them over the past twenty-five years.
