Ronald McDonald House Calgary
HomeVolunteering: Job Descriptions

Job Descriptions

There are several types of volunteer opportunities at Ronald McDonald House® Southern Alberta. The following positions are what we are currently recruiting for at the House:

Dinner Groups

The Home for Dinner program is a donation and volunteer opportunity in one! A group of volunteers (up to 10 people, all over the age of 16), purchase groceries and provide dinner for families in the House, including clean up and packaging the leftovers appropriately. Groups are generally preparing the meal for about 40-50 people. A meal already prepared for the families greatly reduces the stress on them after a potentially long and stressful day.  A home cooked meal assists in providing a comforting home-like atmosphere for families staying at the House. Special Events

Volunteers provide support to the families in a wide variety of roles at fundraising events. These events can include, but are not limited to, Rock the House Run; Cassie Campbell Street Hockey Tournament; Celebrity Bowl; and the Charity Golf Tournament. Special Skills
