Frequent guests know that coming back “home” to Ronald McDonald House means seeing a volunteer’s familiar warm smile to welcome them. Our valued volunteers are essential to the continuing operation of Ronald McDonald House. We cannot do it without you!

The Volunteer program is a vital part of the House operations and volunteers work behind the scenes with the staff in order to fully support the families during a critical time in their lives.

Our flexible and dynamic volunteer program works around your schedule and has a variety of positions to match your skills and talents.   

 Important Volunteer Information

• Ronald McDonald House^® Southern Alberta strives to have an integrated human resources policy in which both staff and volunteers are involved in all aspects of House operations.
• In order to protect the safety and security of all families residing at the House and ensure a meaningful, supported volunteer placement for all volunteers, the House utilizes a fluid and dynamic screening process. This process reflects the unpredictable nature of the House.
